Nesting packaging is a packaging method and a package for similarly packaged items in a space saving nested arrangement are describedFor example, Nesting Products would be a larger package and a small package.

So, if product A (a larger package) and products B, C and D (refers to smaller packages) can be added to the packaging of product A this is called Nesting packaging Logic.

Instead of sending as 2 or more packaging and being charged additional costs from the carrier service, nesting will assume the shipper opens the larger box and places the smaller (linked) item or products into the larger the package, therefore resulting in a lower shipping cost for customers. 

Shown below are the steps on how to enable Nesting packaging:

Step 1: From the Inventory Management >> Click on Add Inventory Button >> Type the inventory item description.

Step 2: Click drop down arrow in Packaging logic. Choose Nesting item .

>> then Click Add item .

>> Enter the item dimension . >> Then click save.

You can now try to SKU Image Added

After Saving the packing logic the SKU number will be available and can be used in getting a quote in Quote and Book/Pending shipment/ Returns. Below is a sample screenshot in quote and book.

Then click continue and select a carrier.
