Nesting packaging is a packaging method and a package for similarly packaged items in a space saving nested arrangement are described.

Instead of sending as 2 or more packaging and being charged additional costs from the carrier service, nesting will assume the shipper opens the larger box and places the smaller (linked) item or products into the larger the package, therefore resulting in a lower shipping cost for customers. 


Shown below are the steps on how to enable Nesting packaging:

Step 1: From the Inventory Management >> Click on Add Inventory Button >> Type the inventory item description.

Step 2: Click drop down arrow in Packaging logic. Choose Nesting item >> then Click Add item >> Enter the item dimension >> Then click save.

After Saving the packaging logic, the SKU number of the item will be available and can be used in getting a quote in Quote and Book.

Step 3: Get a quotation in Quote and Book Module.

So the cost of package is higher if in case Nesting Packaging is disabled because the items will be

calculated through auto calculation ( default) or cartonisation which will use the nearest Packaging type in the package logic.
